On the positive side, this proves that there is at least one person in the CIA who is not totally shameless.
Or who has brains enough to realize that destroying the evidence may be less a crime than violating the Geneva Conventions.
Imagine what the world would be like if every interrogation session were taped. The interrogating agency would want to retain the tape to prove that it stayed within bounds. The court could subpoena the tape and examine it if the detainee requested.
It would take only a laptop with a webcam. Or a modern cellphone.
